‘The Pyrenees Hotel’ is an historic hotel in the historic township
of Lexton. The Hotel was built in 1845, in the height of the gold
rush. Lexton was at the crossroads of central Victoria on the main
route to Sydney. The Lexton area was discovered by Major Thomas
Mitchell in 1836.
Hotel Features
The historic two storey building was built with hand-made bricks,
the front of the hotel is now rendered but the residence is in the
original brick. The Hotel is at the gateway to the Pyrenees Ranges &
the famous Pyrenees wineries.

The Hotel has a welcoming, friendly country atmosphere and is
locally owned & run.

The Hotel is renowned for its great value hotel meals and legendary
homemade deserts.

The Hotel has 6 rooms (4 double & 2 twin single), all upstairs with
views of the surrounding township & countryside. The rooms are cosy
with an appealing country hotel charm. A large guest lounge is
adjacent for guests use. Accommodation is available 7 days/week.

A beer garden is located to the side of the hotel with the Burnbank
Creek running adjacent which provides a tranquil outdoor setting to
enjoy a beverage or just relax in the sun.
