Rainbow Serpent Festival

Taltarni Vineyard is the picturesque and unique setting for the fifth Moonambel in-style World's Longest Lunch. Moonambel Events Inc., with the University of Ballarat and the Charlton Catering Service, will present the finest of the Pyrenees, complemented by specially selected Pyrenees wines from Taltarni, Dalwhinnie, Warrenmang, Summerfield, Peerick, Redbank, Melross Estate and Blue Pyrenees.

Soldier Settlers Picnic at Mooramong
Fancy a picnic under the beautiful trees of Mooramong? Rarely open to the public, Mooramong homestead will host a BYO picnic on Sunday 26th of April.
Visitors are encouraged to tour the extensive Mooramong grounds including the Homestead, walled garden, swimming pool and the outbuildings. Only a 2.5-hour drive from Melbourne and a little less than 2 hours from Geelong, Mooramong Soldier Settlers Picnic is a delightful day out. Entry to the Mooramong homestead is $10 for adults and will be open from 1pm –4pm on Sunday afternoon.

Lake Goldsmith Steam Rally
38 Acres of Living Heritage
The Lake Goldsmith steam preservation society was established in the late 1950's, with a handful of remnant engines operating in a paddock nostalgically re-creating a bygone era...
From the point, the movement has advanced to the position, where, not only is it acclaimed as "Australia's premier steam rally", but to that of international recognition.
The Association's 38 acres site whilst being home to one the largest gatherings of historic machinery in Australia, also hosts visiting enthusiast groups, including car, truck, tractor and stationary engine clubs bringing an ever changing variety of exciting and unusual exhibits to our rallies.

Avoca Races - Taltarni Cup
Enjoy the country racing atmosphere, countless choices of gourmet food with a wide range of Taltarni’s red, white and sparkling wines. Adding a little glamour to the event will be the Fashions on the Field. Categories include the Best Dressed Lady, Best Dressed Gent and the Best Dressed Couple. The day will also provide live music, children’s activities, punters club ran by the 'man in the pork pie hat,' Barry Slater, and not forgetting a strong 6 race program with full TAB and bookmaker facilities.
Those who like to watch the metropolitan racing will not be disappointed with the big screen showing live telecasts of all the Caulfield Cup action. Taltarni Avoca Cup is the perfect opportunity to dress up and enjoy the delights of spring racing in the country.
